Learning from History
Mankind could have avoided various catastrophes, major natural disasters, human-error tragedies, personal losses if he had simple & basic attitude of learning from history, nature and mistakes of others! We admire a historic message, a well written meaningful slogan, but not adopt it to bring into practice. Historical events on records are in evidence that those who wisely learnt from history and practiced, survived!! Here’s another well presented example where the following message not only glorifies strong Indian values, education system, culture, and spiritual teachings, but exhibits insecurities of British Empire’s think-tank.
Have we, as a nation of such admired values, been able to keep this “Dharohar” safe and flourishing? Everybody knows the answer!!! And the reason, unfortunately, is same – not learning from history….
If we fail to take lessons from history, we end up facing what we do today. With eroded values young adults and youth are, as a part of western conspiracy against India’s invincible power, being dragged into a world of baseless glamour presented through electronic media. In the absence of any guidance, either from parents, schools or a role model, are allowed to drift aimlessly. Those who understand this game- plan, and who are not influenced by all that is false, are keeping the national flag fluttering through their focused approach. Imagine the result, if we are able to bring majority of those drifting away from what is real to what they are imagining…
By reading the attached clipping carefully, it is obvious,
how systematically Indians were brainwashed; and we
continue to follow that thinking pattern with our eyes
blindfolded! We were made to believe that everything from
WEST is better than our education, culture and values!
Excerpt from Lord Macaulay’s address
to the British Parliament on 2 Feb. 1835
I have travelled across the length and breadth of India and have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is a thief. Such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such calibre, that] do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage. And, therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the Indians think all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem, their native culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation.
A few questions to be pondered and answered…
Where is our ancient wisdom to become a directed &
guided driving force for our generation who are not only allowed but supported in their
efforts to continue believing in what was a
conspiracy against Indians to enslave them?
What kind of India is in the making? What
would be the consequences? Isn’t everything
obvious in our daily lives & around us already?
If these trends are allowed to continue and no
wisdom prevails, things to come are beyond anyone’s imagination!!
